The Challenge
An innovative spinout from a prominent research institution needed a secure, browser-based solution to preprocess MRI data for deep learning analysis. The objective was to remove personally identifiable information (PII) from DICOM files and extract MRI images, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Their existing process lacked automation, leading to inefficiencies and potential data privacy concerns.
The Solution
Accelvision designed and implemented a localized web application that allows users to upload DICOM files, automatically strip PII, and securely extract MRI images. This browser-based solution requires no additional software installations, offering a seamless and user-friendly workflow. It integrates with the client’s broader application, which leverages computer vision models to standardize spinal disc measurements and improve predictive analytics for surgical complications.
Key Outcomes
- Ensured complete compliance with privacy regulations by automatically removing PII.
- Streamlined the image extraction process, reducing manual effort and errors.
- Delivered a browser-based application, enhancing usability and accessibility.
- Supported the client in scaling their medical analytics workflow with improved efficiency and security.
This project highlights our expertise in delivering privacy-compliant AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into complex workflows, driving innovation and efficiency in healthcare analytics.
