The Challenge
A large construction equipment company needed an advanced computer vision solution to identify and track heavy equipment loaded onto moving trucks. The goal was to create a system that could operate reliably across diverse settings and environmental conditions, ensuring accuracy and consistency. However, achieving this required exploring state-of-the-art (SOTA) models and designing a proof-of-concept (PoC) pipeline to validate the solution’s feasibility.
The Solution
Accelvision developed and demonstrated a tailored computer vision solution:
- Explored SOTA Models: Evaluated multiple state-of-the-art computer vision architectures to identify the most effective models for this identification task.
- Implemented a PoC Pipeline: Designed and built a PoC video processing pipeline to showcase the solution’s capabilities, including identification of equipment across diverse scenarios.
- Optimized for Diverse Conditions: Ensured the solution’s performance remained robust across varying lighting, weather, and operational conditions.
Key Outcomes
- Validated Feasibility: Demonstrated the effectiveness of the tailored vision solution through a PoC, highlighting its potential for deployment in real-world environments.
- Showcased Versatility: Proved the solution’s capability to handle diverse settings and environmental conditions with high accuracy.
- Foundation for Future Deployment: Provided the client with a scalable and adaptable framework to enhance operational efficiency and visibility.
This project highlights Accelvision’s ability to deliver cutting-edge computer vision solutions tailored to specific industry needs, empowering organizations to achieve greater efficiency and precision in their operations.
